Volunteering Is Good for the Soul

Volunteers, Corporations and Nonprofits Can Partner with Soulgood To Make an Impact

Soulgood Cares Social Impact Initiative is committed to fulfilling our mission to save the planet, people and animals one plate at a time through impactful collaborations and community engagement.

During the pandemic in 2019 - 2021, our food truck and team of volunteers did an amazing job delivering and distributing plant-based meals to families in need. We worked in partnership with nonprofit organizations such as Feed the Frontlines, the Otis and Rosie Brown Foundation, Dallas Independent School District and Social Venture Partners Dallas to serve the North Texas community during a frightening time for all. Our team of compassionate and generous volunteers helped us to package, transport and delivery healthier meals and lift the spirits of many individuals. We want to keep the same energy this year.

We are collaborating with a long term friend of Soulgood and early donor, Thasunda Brown Duckett, the CEO of TIAA, via her family foundation The Otis and Rosie Brow Foundation to activate the Soulgood Cares Social Impact Initiative starting this Fall through the summer of 2024.

We will introduce a new way for corporations, schools and nonprofit organizations to join the Soulgood Cares Social Impact program with volunteer and fundraising opportunities.

North Texas families are in need of assistance and plant-based health education. We can work together to meet the growing need. Read below to see how.

How will it work?

  • Corporations that annually participate in the United Way annual giving program can register corporate teams to volunteer with Soulgood Cares to prepare and serve plant-based meals to families or students in need via our vegan food truck.

  • Nonprofit organizations can raise funds to further their mission by recruiting their own volunteer teams to serve on the food truck and proceeds will be donated to the nonprofit organization.

  • Hospitals and medical centers can reserve the vegan food truck for employee celebration days and volunteers can join the team to serve

What can you do to get involved?

  • Register as an individual volunteer

  • Register your office or corporate team to volunteer

  • Invite us to your community event or collaborate with us

  • Donate to the Soulgood Cares Social Impact Program via The Otis and Rosie Brown Foundation 501(c)3 nonprofit charity
