Locals Collaborate to Keep Texas Beautiful
With a tag line like “Be the change -save the world!" this organization has big ideas and even bigger plans. As a Keep Texas Beautiful Affiliate, the City of Frisco participates in the Great American Clean-Up! Volunteers are asked to clean in areas near where they live, work, or attend school. To reward our volunteers' hard work, the City of Frisco throws the volunteers a party! This family-friendly event offers food, face painting, bounce houses, games, and more! Clean It & Green It is about being a superhero for the environment, or as we always say. All volunteers must register online.
Speaking of parties. This year, as the City of Frisco Environmental Services began gearing up for the Clean It & Green It Earth Day Celebration happening for Saturday, April 20th from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. the city is sticking with the practice to promote their environmentally-friendly model by hosting a vegan, zero waste/ waste minimization celebration.
The City of Frisco has selected the hottest eco-friendly vegan mobile food company, Soulgood, to serve hot, fresh and local vegan food at this years’ Clean It & Green It Earth Day celebration and volunteer event.
“Our mobile vegan food truck and catering company has always been apart of the change since day one,” says Founder and Head Chef Cynthia Nevels
Soulgood incorporates zero waste/ waste minimization by using eco-friendly products and supplies and preparing vegan fast food with minimal waste and positive GHGE impact. A recent study with Dallas County Community College District’s Labor Market Research department demonstrated Soulgood’s mobile food service has triple impact ranging from environmental, economic and social thru the companies practice to serve vegan foods and their sustainable practices.
“We are honored the City of Frisco chose Soulgood to join the party this year and to serve the community our plant-based vegan foods,” shared Chef Cynthia.
