Our mission is to put healthy plant-based foods into the hands of adults and children across America. We support tax-exempt nonprofit organizations that help to improve the quality of life of the people they serve.
Giving back is a part of who we are and what we do because for every item you buy from us we donate 5% to two charities that are near and dear to our soul. We are proud to donate 5% of every sale to Kids Environmental Education Network, Inc. (KEEN Group) and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Inc. (CFF).
Our donation is a soulful gesture to help encourage more children to plant their own foods, eat healthier meals, and to support research to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. So, when you buy, we give. Giving is good for the soul.

New Hurricane Harvey Food Service
Soulgood Food Truck will travel across North Texas to feed Gulf Coast residents (Houston, Corpus Christi, and other cities impacted by the recent storms) to serve hot plant-based vegan and vegetarian meals at no cost. We welcome financial donations from local individuals and corporations to support our initiative to serve hot and healthy meals to Houston evacuees at local City of Dallas and Red Cross shelters. Click here to donate money to help us raise $5,000 by September 4, 2017. We will begin serving the week of September 5th at local City of Dallas and Red Cross locations where we are assigned.
You may also volunteer with us, as well, to help serve families by signing up to be a Soulgood Volunteer. We will post our Soulgood Food Truck dates on Facebook Events once our scheduled assignment has been received from Red Cross.
Please complete our volunteer form here and a representative will be happy to contact you. To prepare and serve food you must have your current and active food handlers permit in the state of Texas. The cost is $7 and the course is online here. Upon completion please email a copy of your certificate to email@example.com or fax to 1-866-561-8027.
Gifts to Tyler
There are numerous volunteer opportunities for fellow Soulstirrers who would like to teach healthy eating classes, sustainable gardening, environmental education or cooking classes to underserved children in local urban and rural communities. This year, we are introducing a new initiative called, “Gifts to Tyler.” There are over 4,000 homeless children in Dallas Independent School District today. We can only imagine how challenging it can be for a child to perform academically if they are hungry. Our son, Tyler, loved preparing meals and feeding the homeless with our family. In honor of him, on Friday, May 19, 2017, Tyler Nelson’s birthday, our food truck will feed homeless children at a local shelter from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. Our Gifts to Tyler program will continue to serve healthy plant-based foods from our food truck every month thereafter with help from our Soulstirrers like you.
How can you help?
- Donate money to help us raise $8,000 by May 1, 2017. Make a donation to pay for a meal for a homeless child or family. Click here to donate $10, $25, $50 or more and the funds will be used to pay for the meal for a child in our Gifts to Tyler program. We want to serve 100 meals every month at average cost of $10 per person for a total of $1,000 per month through December 2017.
- Become a Soulgood Volunteer and volunteer to work on the food truck during our Gifts to Tyler food truck days. Just 1-3 hours of your time once a month is all it takes. Click here to volunteer. The dates for 2017 are listed on the volunteer application. Please note times and dates may change due to weather or shelters.
- Donate gifts such as t-shirts, balloons or school supplies to be given to the children during our Gifts to Tyler food truck days. Simply register to be a volunteer or to donate using our online form and a team member will contact you to coordinate details.
